eToro Enhances Analysis Tools: Traders Can Now Benchmark Portfolio, See Risk Factors

eToro, a fintech company reportedly considering a US listing, has introduced several portfolio analysis tools to provide traders with a “more in-depth view of their investment performance.”

Simplifying Portfolio Analysis

Announced today (Thursday), the new tools will allow traders on the platform to benchmark their portfolio against other assets, analyse portfolio composition, and identify risk factors.

The platform has introduced four key features: portfolio breakdown, risk insights, expected dividends, and portfolio comparison.

With the ‘portfolio breakdown’ feature, traders can view how their holdings are distributed across asset types, sectors, geographies, and exchanges. The ‘risk insights’ tool offers a better understanding of portfolio risks, including details on assets that contribute to a higher risk score.

The ‘expected dividends’ section shows the dividend income generated by each stock in the portfolio, along with anticipated dividends from portfolio holdings. Meanwhile, the ‘portfolio comparison’ feature enables traders to compare their portfolio’s performance against benchmarks such as the S&P 500.

“Our new advanced portfolio insights are designed to give users a strategic edge, providing greater clarity on performance, risk, and diversification opportunities,” said Or Peled, eToro’s VP of Product Strategy and Growth. “Whether planning for long-term wealth or refining their investment strategy, we’re equipping our users with the precision and confidence they need to navigate market complexities and achieve their financial goals.”

Expanding Products

Initially known as a copy trading platform, eToro has evolved into a comprehensive brokerage offering cash equities and CFDs across various asset classes. It also provides both CFDs and physical cryptocurrency trading. Finance Magnates previously reported that Bitcoin trading volumes on eToro quadrupled during the US elections last year.

In addition to the newly introduced features, eToro has been expanding its product range strategically. Last October, it enabled trading in local currencies for eToro Money GBP and EUR accounts and significantly increased the number of shares available on its platform.

Meanwhile, eToro is reportedly planning to go public in the US during the second quarter of 2025 with a valuation exceeding $3.5 billion. However, the platform has not yet provided any official confirmation.
