Trump directs US government to cut consumer costs, gives no details

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday called on federal government agencies to take action aimed at lowering American consumer costs, but gave no other details, according to a White House document released on Monday.

“All agencies will take emergency measures to reduce the cost of living,” the document, released moments after Trump was sworn in, said.
